I was Once a Child; but, somewhere along the line, I forgot Who I Was.  And, as a consequence, I (through neglect and forgetfulness) abandoned That Little One.


Help me, Lord, to remember…

 

To remember… what it was really like to be That Little One…

 

… for I’ve forgotten so much.

 

The Truth is… Yes, I was once A Little Child.  The Truth is, too, that I (very mysteriously) still am.  As Papa’s Told me many, many times now, I’m “still VERY, VERY young in The Kingdom.”

 

Help me, Lord, to feel this and to Live and PLAY(!!) into it (that is, to Live and play into WHO I am—and to do so for all Eternity).  Help me to rediscover and to be once and again That Little One that I Truly Am—That Little One that Plays at Life, and... That Little One that Wanders about with a Deep Wonder in and Curiosity about Pretty Much Everything!  And… as I continue to age, Help me, Lord, to never again lose touch with not just Who I Am but also with just how Truly young I am.

Speaking up for myself only (and whomever might like to join me in this), I'm not interested in anyone's partisan-driven political views.  Most partisan-driven political posts that I encounter on social media often lean toward the extreme and, most likely, find their basis in half-truths, egregious polemics, flagrant exaggeration, and outright falsehood.  Often, such posts label those who disagree with the one who posted it as being totally worthy of public shaming (or worse).  That's really saddening to me. BP 32 - Self-knowledge, a meditation

It’s been said that the highest form of human knowledge is self-knowledge. I both agree with and disagree with this statement. My disagreement lies, mostly, with the stopping of the argument at the general (and exquisitely broad) category of “self-knowledge.” To begin, what is self-knowledge? Is it knowledge? Certainly. Knowledge about oneself? Most assuredly. But it’s more—MUCH MORE!!—than just knowledge about oneself. Self-knowledge is knowledge about oneself that’s truly “lived” and “experienced.” In a word, self-knowledge is “wisdom;” and it’s real (that is, based in reality) and not abstract [considered apart from concrete existence; not applied or practical; theoretical; difficult to understand; abstruse]. Wisdom is knowledge of oneself (and of why one exists [which is rooted in belief]) lived out congruently and concretely—and lived out well [this is also the definition of goodness]. BP36 - Four "Traveling, Mantralike, Prayers"

I'm a huge fan of praying all the time. Sometimes, I use words. When I'm moving about and decide to use words, I often go with one or more of what I call "My Traveling Prayers." Traveling prayers are memorized prayers that I just pray over and over again in a mantralike fashion. Provided below are my top four traveling prayers.
